Hey everyone! It's been a while since I applied for a card and I have been wanting to get back in with Chase. I burned them in BK7 for like $1,500 back in FEB 2021.

Almost a month ago, should report soon as new TL, I applied for the Freedom Unlimited and Instand denial, which I knew I would have to recon, and to my surprise I was approved for $5,900. I have been spending a bit and PIF since having the card. Ok, so here is the Question..... Last night I see the green your pre-approved for the CSR!! I said what?? Lol. My question is has anyone seen this with my Freedom Unlimited card being so new? Also someone with a BK in the past with them (yes almost 5 years ago) but still. Could that be a legit pre-approved offer you think?

I'm under 5/24 and EX8 and TU8 are around 755.

Credit card util is like 1%. Highest card limit is with NFCU and it's like $18k

Long post. Thanks for the help.

Given your recent adverse history with Chase, @wxman2021, a Green Star offer is quite surprising! None-the-less, while neither is a guaranteed approval, Black Star and Green Star offers are pretty solid preapprovals. Personally, I've taken more of a slow roll with Chase and tried to space out my apps by at least three months. That offer will probably stick around for awhile if you want to let your new Freedom Unlimited age a bit more. You mentioned you're under 5/24, so that's one hurdle out of the way. FICO looks solid. And you have a card over $10K which would be your minimum SL, so that's consistent with profile. I think it's worth a try if you find the card useful, whether you do it now or in a few months. Congrats on your Chase success!
