RBFCU World Cash Back credit card 3% thru 12/31/2025

The Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) is not a particularly popular card on this forum (probably due to it being somewhat geo fenced to the state ofTexas), however from 10/1/2025 thru 12/31/25 they are offering 3% cashback on all spend as opposed to the normal 2%.

This is a no frills, basic, no category spend bonuses card with some nice features (no AF,no FTF,cash advance limit is the card's CL,minimum redemption of $5).

Just a PSA for those of us who do carry this card as the increased cashback doesn't seem to be well advertised.

It should also be noted they are giving 10c per debit card transactions.

@800wannabe420 , what are the membership requirements for this FCU? I see that there are "more than 5,000 ways to qualify" but none of them are listed.

Is it common for them to do the +1% on the credit card? Is it common for them to do 10c on the debit card? Does the debit card have any other perks when it's not giving 10c?

I have had this card for 7 years now, first obtaining it when flat 2% cards were less common than now.

This is the first time RBFCU has temporarily increased the rewards to 3% (hopefully not the last)🫰.

When I first joined, the debit card also gave a reward (I don't remember the % or amount) for purchases which was nerfed probably 6 or so years ago ☹️.

I only use my debit cards for cash withdrawals only, so I am not familiar with any perks, but I am guessing there are none. Again, while this is the 11th-12th largest CU based upon deposits/assets, RBFCU is a very no frills institution.

As far as the membership requirements, if I remember correctly, when you apply there is/was a drop down list of organizations/businesses which qualify to join. I don't remember if there's 5,000. I didn't count.
