Changes coming to financing options on your Amazon store card

Just got this email:

Starting the week of February 16th, 2026, special financing will no longer be offered

Tdatb64,

We are committed to creating a positive experience with your Amazon Store Card and regularly review our program to ensure it provides value and clarity and have decided to simplify our promotional financing offers.

What is changing?

Currently, you can select from two different promotional financing options for your purchases: equal monthly payments or special financing.

Special financing offers are shown as no interest if paid in full during the promotional period (6, 12 or 24 months).

Starting the week of February 16, 2026, special financing will no longer be offered on purchases made with your Amazon Store Card.

What this means for you:

•	You will still be able to choose 0% APR financing with equal monthly payments on qualifying purchases.

•	Starting the week of February 16, 2026, new purchases will not be eligible for special financing.

•	This change will not impact any previous special financing purchases.

•	This change does not affect your account’s APR, your credit limit, fees, or any other terms of your account.

In a nutshell, they are getting rid of deferred interest promotional financing and only allowing equal pay promotional financing now. I see this as a positive because it means there is no longer a deferred interest balance at the end of the term if you don't pay off the purchase in time.

There's so many people on Reddit they're about to cancel the whole reason they have that card because special finance ...

pretty sure everybody gonna jump to the Best Buy credit card...
