Is there a particular reason you want to have the Cash Rewards in addition to the Flagship Rewards card from NFCU? If not, I would set as a goal to product change the Cash Rewards to a Flagship Rewards instead, since you still will get 2x points on everything vs. 2% cash back.

Also, consider applying for both the Freedom Unlimited and the More Rewards at the same time in April. The HP's are more than likely going to hit different CRA's (a new NFCU card will most likely be a TransUnion FICO 08 and Chase will likely be an Experian FICO 08, although YMMV). So, there is not much of a reason to avoid doing so, unless you don't think your profile suuports pproval after maximizing (use the Chase pre-approvl prior to applying). It would get the clock running on those particular new accounts and their 5/24 eligibility.

This recommendation could also be potentially affected by your current 5/24 status. Where are you with that now?

Looking for some feedback on this pipeline as I'm thinking about slotting in the Capital One Savor Rewards.

I current hold the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Freedom Flex, the Capital One Quicksilver One, the Fidelity Visa Signature, and the NFCU CashRewards.

My current plan is:

January: NFCU Cash Rewards (Approved!)

April: NFCU More Rewards

July: Chase Freedom Unlimited

October: World of Hyatt Chase Card

December: IHG One Rewards Chase Card

2027: NFCU Flagship Rewards, AMEX Blue Cash Preferred, AMEX Gold, AMEX Platinum

Since I'm currently looking to lower my TCU (currently ~64%, recovering, already planned recovery) I have a pre-approval for the Capital One Savor Rewards card and Venture card I'm considering. If I did apply for one it would be the Savor, but there's two things that are holding me back. The first is that if I apply for it now I worry it may impact my planned April application for the NFCU More Rewards; I don't want to appear credit desperate. Secondly, it would limit my Chase 5/24 options and if I had to choose I would give up on the IHG Rewards card.

If I did get the Savor Rewards card I wouldn't be using it, it would just be to improve my TCL and reduce TCU. Just to note I have the option to upgrade COQS One to a regular COQS, but annual fees don't factor for me as the banks waive for me due to active duty service.

Thoughts? FICO low 600s accross the all bureaus.

Hello!

Your pipeline is solid, but I’d hold off on the Capital One Savor until after April. Adding it now risks complicating your NFCU More Rewards approval and eats into your Chase 5/24 slots, which you’ll need for Hyatt and IHG. Since your main goal is lowering utilization, upgrading your Quicksilver One is the safer move—it boosts your total credit limit without a new inquiry. Focus on paying down balances to drop TCU, then revisit Savor later in the year when your score has improved.

Capital One = triple HP.

Make sure you are ok with that. If More Rewards is in the works, you might just wait for it and skip the Savor.

Navy Fed and Amex are generous with CLI.
Amex is 3X on day 91. Navy Fed is known for giving big CLI depending on your credit profile and relationship with them.

Capital One is hard to predict. They give good CLI to some. They don't for others. If you get Venture, I think that guarantees $5K, if it's Venture X, it guarantees $10K. More Rewards is 3X Dining, Groceries, and Gas. Chase Freedom Unlimited is 3X Dining. So not sure what Savor will offer with 3X Dining and Groceries.

IS 64% your utilziation? How are your interest fees? Maybe transfer them to a $0 APR Promo Balance Transfer (usually cost 3-5% fee).

What's your TCL, and the current cards you have now?

Where are you with that now?

I'm sitting at 1/24 right now, and as for the Cash Rewards that was to get a foot in the door with NFCU and start building the relationship. I figured getting accepted for the Flagship Rewards was trying to fly too close to the sun for now, but I could definitely PC the CR to a FR later on.

I actually just had some major structural changes to today: I now have a Personal Loan with NFCU and used it to clear the debts on all cards except the Fidelity, which after next paycheck will be reduced to just under $2k. I'm now sitting at 15% TCU. I also have PC offers on the COQS One to either a QS or Venture One, but this doesn't reflect my recent CU drop. Was considering waiting to see if a regular Venture card PC offer appears. Might be making a post asking for some tips on what to do.
