I've had this card now for 5 statements, and I've paid in full all 5 statements (statement closed yesterday) that I've had this card. I made a payment of 1,180 on 5/29, and they are still holding the my payment until 6/15 (I called this morning to confirm) and would not release it. The reason they gave me was because my account hasn't been open for 6 months or more. That is ridiculous to hold a payment for 17 days!

Synchrony is known for randomly deciding to hold payments.

They didn't restore the available credit would be my guess based on past complaints and my own experience with them randomly doing this.

Each lender has their own strange payment verification rules but in each case I've had held payments, they have at least credited the account. It can take them a while to release the credit though,

I have had Citi fail to release my credit for 30 days in the past because they deemed it a large payment. It really screwed me over with trying to pay for a trip to Italy.

NFCU will hold back your credit if you make more than two payments in a statement cycle.

I try to learn something new every day. I've never noticed a bank limiting my credit after they credited my payment. I'll pay more attention. I don't think I've ever paid navy more than once a month. The thing I have noticed is that amex credits payments and updates available credit instantly.

I'm not a big spender, I seldom exceeded 5% utilization on any account, except maybe Capone, who's so tight on clis.

They didn't restore my limit. I only have a 1,500 limit for this card, so I only had 320 dollars available for 16 days. I use this card heavily due to the 3% Cashback.

I've had the PayPal Cashback MC about three years and never noticed my payments being held. I do go back a couple of days after I pay to confirm it has been applied and never had a problem with payments being applied quickly. I do this with all my cards.

I'm not a huge spender relative to my credit limit.
