Gather FCU Signature Visa (HI only)

Here's another card I meant to post about, but forgot. This FCU is restricted to HI but the card has a unique combination not generally seen together:

$250 SUB

2% base rewards

5% rotating categories on top

It does seem that rewards are paid out annually, which is a small bummer.

Hawaii State has a way to become a member through making a charitable donation to either Friends of the Library Hawaii or The Friends of Iolani Palace to earn access to all the benefits of becoming an HSFCU member but I dont know how much is required for membership.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying. You list a way to become a member but then end with you're not sure what is required for membership? Can you please clarify? Thanks.

The Gather FCU states:

"Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school,

or operates a business on the islands of Kauai or Ni‘ihau"

Both are Geo locked even with membership.

Gather for only two islands.

Might be of interest to just a select few.

PS: As of the 2020 U.S. Census, The Island of "Niʻihau" has 84 residents.
