How much rebate did you receive this year from your CASHBACK cards???

I'm strictly a cashback kinda gal after having long ago torched my frequent flyer reward cards. I have a lot of travel expenses which necessitate some heavy annual spending. For 2009, I should be getting back $1300 in rebates.

I love AMEX but stopped using my BLUE CASH when they lowered the cash back on miscellaneous charges from 1.5% to 1.25%..........

I now have a two-pronged strategy. I put gas, drugstore, and grocery charges on my 5% HSBC or CHASE REWARDS PLUS cards. Everything else goes on my SCHWAB 2% card.

I should now realize an annual overall return of 2.75% !!!!!!

I did not calculate yet, but I should be around $600 which is about 2.5% cashback.

my 5% savings on my amex with fedex and car rental have brought me over $1500 so far and then trading in my points have brought me about $100-200 a month in statement credit.
