My wife messed up my credit history and as a result, most credit cards account has been closed by the banks. I have 3 more other credit card accounts showing they are still opened in the report but it has no activities for more than 3 years. Shall I call the banks to re-issue me the cards for the other 3 accounts so i can start rebuilding my credit? I am afraid by doing so, I may trigger them to close all of these account. Any recommendation?

Credit score from 740 to 528 within 6 months period.

I'm leaning toward you calling those who haven't close your account, and explain to the creditors your situation. But, you may cause them to review your credit reports, and they will take the same actions as the other creditors.
