Discover updating

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone else was having issues with Discover updating monthly? I PCed from Discover Open to Discover More last month and now it seems that Discover is not updating on my credit report. Is this happening to any one else?

Yes, they are still updating. You can expect to see the update on your EX report a day or two after your new statement generates.

I recently changed my payment date and it took them one month to update my CR because the pay date I chose was too close to my statement date...

Same here. My statement normally updates on the 19th. Since I changed my due date to the 1st, I haven't received an update or statement yet.

Not sure if this is true or not, but the CSR told me that they report every Friday..I have not been able to confirm this with my own account. EX usually updates the day after my statement date, TU a few days later. EQ takes forever! My last statement cut on the 20th and both EX and TU have updated. Still waiting on EQ!

I changed my date in sometime in MId-October and and they told me that my next payment date was in December! But they did finally update mid-Nov...I left a small balance carry in Sept and even though I had PIF in October, my CR's showed the balance for 2 months! I won't do that again.

Not true. I doubt if Discover has that type of manpower to do that.

That is just it. My statement cut on the 10th of this month and EXP and TU have still not updated. Normally, my CR is updated for Discover on the 12th or 13th of the month for EXP and around the 17th for TU. But nothing as of today.

Whatever you do, don't dispute with the the CRA's. You don't want to end up with the statement 'customer disputes account' on the tradeline. TU is reluctant to take the statement off.

I was told that once, too, in complete earnestness. The only uninformed Discover CSR I ever had.

Discover updates the balance on your statement, on that night. EX generally updates that night or the next day, EQ maybe 4-7 days later, and TU several days after EQ updates, maybe. Sometimes EQ goes last, but back when we had genuine daily updated reports from TrueCredit and others, this was the pattern, and it was pretty consistent for most folks.

Every now and again Discover does an extra update mid-cycle. They did this once on ours, and they never could figure out why it happened, but they re-updated in order to get the displayed balance back to $0.

My experience has been that Discover usually updates with the statement amount monthly. The only wrinkle we had was when they reported a mid-cycle balance once. (Oh, well...so much for trying to show a zero balance...)

Well, I have your missing update! I get updated 2x monthly with Discover. First on the 20th and then again on 26th. Occassionally I get updated again between 26th and following 20th. This card cannot be zero balance reported for me, unless I don't use it EVER!

Originally I had the Discover Escape (the double rewards MILES card) with $60 AF.

Then I PC'd to Discover More immediately because they only gave me an initial CL of $2k (CLI to $4k this month after 6 months).

But I have never only had 1x per month update. They update 2x per month, plus anytime I add an AU, remove an AU or change any profile info they update at those times also. They are update happy IME.

My closing date is the 9th and the latest I can tell it reported in the past was the 18th.

I still have not seen an update for November, and it is the last day.

Have you tried changing the due date yet? There are reports that doing so can fix this problem. DFS seems to not have a clue as to why this happens.

My Discover reports like clockwork, including the "extra" update after an account change such as a CLI.

My Discover also did not update in November for the statement 10/27. They raised my CL from $10,000 to $15,000 with that statement. On 11/30 my statement balance and new CL were both updated with info from 11/27 statement. This seems to indicate they are back to normal.

Perhaps there was just a problem with updates last month since I haven't noticed this before.

Still no update on my Discover card. The next statement cuts for me on December 7th. We shall see if they update then.
