No decision on GE Money Bank Walmart card.....

It has been 5 or 6 weeks since I applied for a GEMB Walmart card online. I received the message that I would receive the decision in the mail in 7-10 days. Three weeks later and I still had not received anything. After searching and searching for the correct phone number to actually speak to someone at GE about the card, I was told they would resend the decision. That was over 10 days ago and still there has been nothing from them.

My biggest concern is if they did send me a CC and it was intercepted somewhere. I have no way of knowing. I belong to ScoreWatch, so if something new is added I will know, but so far nothing. I'm tired of trying to chase this info down with a company that is next to impossible to contact and it's too important to just let slide. Identity theft scares the bejeezus out of me!

Any suggestions?

The CSR should be able to tell you whether you were approved or declined. If declined, they will insist on you waiting for the written letter of explanation...but the status should be available on the phone.
