It's the start of a new quarter and PenFed has just run their preapp offers update. Y'all might want to take a peek and see what might have popped up.

Hmm....all they did is TAKE AWAY my auto loan offer for $50K! Bimmer you were in my sites!

Maybe I'm more "risky" this quarter in a naughty kinda way.

Did you accept one of your previously available offers? If so you will lose them all the next time they are updated. It doesn't mean much. I accepted an offer in the third quarter and when they updated 01OCT all my offers disappeared. I discussed it with a CSR, it is normal and means nothing. Now I have many offers once again.

The alternative is they looked at your CBR and you are less worthy ("riskier" ) and they didn't offer you anything.

Log in - go to you accounts page - to the right, opposite your name, one of two things will appear: 1) a grey box captioned "Transfer Money" if you do not have offers, or 2) a yellow box captioned "You're Approved!" if you have offers. If you have the offers box there will be several links with it which you can click for the details.

Some do get a secured offer like an auto loan at, or shortly after, membership. I did not, but Her Ladyship did. It is not a "general" preapp offer. You get those after at least six months sometimes after more like a year. I had preapp offers at membership, but did not get an unsecured preapp offer until after one year. If I get a chance tomorrow I will post my current offers.

Thanks for posting about this. A while back I became a member for their CC but they denied me (short history).

So I just logged in for the first time in a while and here's what I've got (wow!):

The good news for you is that you are no longer on the outside looking in at a CC! Congrats! They will pretty much give you any one of those CC's at $15K CL if you accept the offer. BTW - it is pick one offer. If you want another one it will be a fresh app. If you wanted two CC's at $7.5K each or $10K and $5K I would call a CSR and ask them how to best go about doing it.

Well, I guess it's just nice to see because I don't want any of it. I suppose PenFed doesn't hate me anymore. Too bad I'm still not too fond of them. hehe.

Big change for me. After I took the second CC in July the unsecured offers went away immediately and the board was wiped clean on 01OCT. I now have offers back for just about every product except a CC (which is a once a year thing I understand) including a New Car Loan, which I have never had before. I'm pretty sure $50K is the max for a car loan offer.

Thanks! However I don't think I really want any of them anymore, haha. I already have 3 CCs with a combined CL of $25k. Their Visa Platinum Cashback (1.25%) card does beat my BoA AmEx cash (1.25%) card a little though in terms of reward dollars.

Kind of dumb, but I made an account for penfed about a year ago and applied for a CC and was denied and now forgot all my information to log in now having to enroll again. Has anyone gone through this and do the pre apps stay? Or do I start over fresh Thanks
