My friend added me as an authorized user to her Chase credit cards.It has been three months and it still has not been reported to the credit bureaus.Is there anything I can do?

Did your friend have to provide your SSN to the creditor? If not, and you all do not share the same address, it may never appear.

chase doesn't take ss# for auth. Mine show up on credit but we have common address, that's usually how they link auth users I believe.

so DI is right, it may never show up.

they don't have an american express they could add you to do they, that for sure shows up immediately and doesn't easily go away!

As others stated, unless you have a common address, you most likely will not see it reported on your CR's.

There is one way to get it to begin reporting IF your friend wants to go out of their way to do so. They could set up their account for e-statements only and email delivery, then change their account statement address to your address. In this way, they don't have to worry about the statements being mailed to you, because they are delivered electronically. By changing the statement address of record to your address, you will have a common address and the account would show up.

Once the account shows up, they can change the statement address back to their original address. This would end up associating your address to your friend's CR....so that is why I said IF your friend is willing to do this.

Otherwise, the accounts that I know take SS# is BoA, CapOne, AMEX.

When this happens and AMEX takes your SS#, can they say no and not give you a card. I was thinking my boss could add me to the AMEX but that would be tooo embarrassing if it came back DENIED!!! =)

Amex use to say no if you burned them yourself, but within the last year they started giving them to anyone again as auth

I've been an AU on a Chase card for over a year. The primary cardholder and I don't have the same address, and the card is not on my reports.

I've been a AU on two of my wifes Chase Visas for the past 5 or 6 years. We share the same address. They report to all 3 CB's from the get go.
