Discover CLI

just got a CLI of $ 2000 for my discover more card.

acct opened last august with $1500.

August cl $ 1500

November cl $ 1800 "auto cli"

February( today) cl $ 3800 " phone option"

the rep told me i still can get 2 more cli withing the next 6 months ( 1 every 3 months )

Congrats! I'm expecting my next CLI in April. Hopefully the next increase put my line over $5300.

Congratulations. I hope to be there soon in may when i get my next increase.

Im just curious but for some reason they are going giving me CLI's of $250 every 3 months for the first year. Why might that be? Im pretty sure, income and some other factors might be in play. I'm curious

For me Discover mataches the limits or make my overall credit limit even.

I went from $2500 to $3400 to $4100. Since Kroger raised my limit to $5300, which is now my highest, I expect Discover to match it in April.

I don't know what to say cause my highest limit is 3K. Maybe next time i get an CLI i'll give them a call to see if they can do better.

back in November as I was told by the rep my first cl was only $300 because I used the cash back option a lot (he was right ! I took almost $200 cashback at walmart between September and October ) I never thought they pay attention to it

...well the last 3 months I have never used the card for cash back.and i kept my balnces lower than 9% .And now I got $2000 cli.

not sure though !!

Unfortunately they don't. It get updated when your next statement generates and reported to the CRA's

the last time I got a cli they did not report for 2 months!!

I wonder if there is a way around it ! Perhaps I should give'em a call !

I noticed when ever I get a CLI, Discover takes longer to update reports than any other months. Rather than call, I would just be patient. They will update it.

I recently got a CLI and simply told the CSR that I was planning to apply for a home loan soon and asked if she could update mid-cycle. She said "Sure", hit a button and said "there, all done". It showed on EX the next day. TU and EQ took a few days longer.

So, I suggest to just call and ask. Was painless for me.

I sent an email to asking them to update my credit reports. I haven't received an email back yet. I guess Discover is short staff. They usually send a response hastily.

Email huh? I've never used the customer service email. I just call them . . . but I am very impatient. I want an answer and I want it NOW! . . . . LOL!

I'm patient and for something that can be fixed anytime, I just send an email. They responded this morning to inform me the account has been updated with the CRA's.

Thank you for the update. Discover is my favorite bank card. Not necessarily my favorite credit card but they are definately head and shoulders above Chase, BoA, HSBC and the rest. Maybe that is why they are traditionally, more conservative.

The Discover More is my favorite card. I love seeing the cash over option. That's a fantastic perk!!

I called them to have my new cl reported the the CBs, guess what !?

they slashed my new cl back to $2100, WTF !!!

I had to call again and again & speak to 3 different idiots...i heard all kind of bs reasons they keep telling me to not to raise it back to $3800. At some point i asked to close the acct and then they put me on hold and came back to tell me that my cl is back at $3800....

go figure !!?
