CITI CD WITH SECURED CREDIT

Card. Sounds great as they pay 4.0 interest on the CD.

Has anyone heard of this? I found it when I was looking for CD rates. What a great rebuilder sounds like!!!!!

The site is www.bankvibe.com.

They also list the 5 least trusted banks with HSBC and CAP ONE right there.

Very interesting and gives all bank rates and much more.

Yes, I applied with them 2 days ago. They took my money out today, but I don't know if I've been approved yet. My Equifax score is 635, so we'll see.

Why would they turn you down? You are buying a CD which they use to secure the card.

Interesting! Citi was right in the middle of the top 5 Banks Not Trusted - coming in at #3, if I'm remembering right.

can you add more money to your cd as you go, or do you have to stick with whatever your initial deposit was?

I don't know if yoou can add on. check out the site. But the interest is great opposed to getting nothing from most secured cards.

i did check it out. i couldn't find anything pertaining to that. was wondering if someone had asked or found out.

I have the Citi Secured Card and I tried adding money to the CD about a year ago and they didn't allow it.

Their website states that it may become unsecured at 18 months. Of course, that all depends on how much they like you.

My Citi Secured Card is set to unsecure next week. I received a letter from Citi two weeks ago stating that they are going to refund my deposit of $200 and grant an initial CL of $400.

Does anybody know how this card reports? Does it report as secured on the CR?

Also, is this hard to obtain? I plan to do this with Citi... I have a 644... thoughts?
