Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard

I used the pre approval link for the Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard, and I was prequalified for the Gold Card with no annual fee (The no annual fee part really surprised me since I always have to pay an annual fee! I tried this link about a month ago and was only offered the secured card, so I'm very excited. I'm in the process of rebuilding my credit, especially my Experian report, which is the one they pulled). Is this a good card to apply for? I currently have a Credit One Bank Credit Card, Fingerhut, Kays, and Jared, all which have low debt to limit ratios. Should I apply for this card? Also, my TransUnion Report is a 620, and a lot of my prior creditors did not report to TU, so I don't have many tradelines reporting on TU. Can anyone recommend a card that pulls Transunion? Thanks in advance.

The pre-approve is a softpull. I was pre-approved last week for a gold card and then was denied once I applied due to "insufficient credit references". Also, I believe they hard pull EQ now.

I did the pre-qual yesterday and was pre-qualified for the BB mastercard. I applied and was declined. The reason stated "Insufficient credit references".

They pulled TU. I have no credit cards whatsoever. I do have one revolving account that shows as closed as of 2005. My TU FAKO is 704. I tried to pull actual FICO's from this site but couldn't. You might want to apply in the store. I've heard you get better results this way.

be very careful with this card. I have had this card for almost 3yrs now and I am stuck at 300 credit limit. I called every backdoor number and spoke to every rep I could and they told me that the max I can EVER get is 300 on this card, I can not upgrade to another account..etc. This card has never been paid late, and I keep using it and then paying it off. I would say negotiate what amount they give you first if they try and give you 300 as a limit. But other than that I love this card. I have the card that attaches to my cell phone so when I go to places like McDonalds or Best Buy I can just tap my phone on the swipe pad and go..its great because I always seem to leave my wallet in the car but my phone is always with me.

After reading this thread I went to the link for the preselection and apped. I was preselected for the Platinum Card and apped today. I got a phone call while my app was processing to verify my phone number- it was a robot just to make sure my home phone works. I got a 10-14 day message. I'll update this. I have had a Rewards Program Card with Best Buy for about three years and they also asked me for this number on the app.

BTW I have never apped with HSBC. I'm trying to get a high CL to lower my overall util.
