AMERICAN EXPRESS IS TOP NOTCH FOR BACKDATING

I opened my 1st american express charge card in Oct, of 09. I cancelled the card in Febuary, 2010 since I opened up a new charge card the premier gold in Febuary of 2010. Well the new card finally started reporting just on EX for now and it states new account open Febuary of 2009. I just can't believe it, it is like I have been with american express for over a year now, but by right it has only been 5 months. Way to go American Express.

I think you mean you cancelled the card in feb of 2010

AMEX is only of the few and only companies that will do this. I had an Orchard Card long ago, and then got a HSBC card. When i merged the Orchard into my HSBC card they kept the dates of the initial Orchard Card.
