Hello!

When my Citi cash was up for CLI - I clicked on the "Request for CLI" I got the same message so I decided to call and told the CSR that I do not want any hard pull on my CR so she said no problem. She apparently checked if I'm eligible for automatic increase and she said I was eligible for an additional $2k and asked if I want to accept it and I said yes. No hard pull at all from $16500 - $18500 and as soon I got the increase and check my account the CLI link was gone.

Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Today , I saw a CLI request link on my Citi card account online.

I clicked it and this is what came up :

"Unable to process request
We are not able to process your request online at this time.

To request a credit line increase, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-950-5114. Outside the U.S. please call collect at 605-335-2222."

If I call the cust service, will they require a hard pull ? In the past every time I got this link, it was an instant CLI.

Reportedly, some people have gotten hard pulls, others soft pulls. In most cases, Citi is looking to verify income, at least verbally...

I haven't tried the luv button since the new laws went into effect, so don't take my word for it. The above info is what I've read here and elsewhere for Citi CLIs post 2/22/10.

Let us know what happens if you call...

Great info. I might try that when my confidence in a CLI is greater than my fear of a CLD.

Update: Called Cust Service and the CSR told me that I was eligible for auto CLI of $1600 !! No Hard pull reqd.

It seems Citi wants to see atleast $1200 spent per month on my card.I am not sure if this is specific to my case or in general.

Anyways since I pay all my bills using this card and also travel a lot, it 'll be more than $1200 p.m.
