I've had my BoA secured CC for either a year or a little over a year now and I was wondering on when I would be able to I guess it's call graduating from a secured card to a standard CC with BoA. I've never missed a payment with them and I've only been over my limit once which was quickly paid with out an over the limit fee charged to me. I just wanted to know if anyone knew or knew what steps I might needed to take to get off the secured CC with them.

IMO, I would focus on repair. If you call them, they will review your CR with you on the phone and tear apart every account, or at least IME. My only experience with their secured was a 99/500 and that unsecured after my 10th payment and/or after my 11th statement cut.

i agree with llecs, i would focus on raising my scores before i started drawing close attention to my credit reports

That overlimit incident probably delayed the conversion. I would just wait for them to decide to do it.

Unless their policy has change, you will have to request for it to be unsecured and it will be a hard pull. For now, I would focus on raising my scores. Mine was unsecured 12/09 and my cs was in the low 700's.

Good thing it was not a real overlimit with fee assessed.

99 / 500 was a secured card with $99 deposit and $500 credit limit. I think it has been gone for awhile.

Ditto. I think they ended it around last summer, give or take. Pooof. One day it was gone. ETA....it was a counter-offer if you applied for an unsecured card and wasn't available to apply for directly.
