I have been reading post about chase slashing limits on old wamu cards or not ever giving credit limit increases.. i org got wamu card 5/2008 with 2500.00 credit limit. it switched to chase and i did product change to Chase Tj Maxx MC within 30days of switching to chase. I now have 3100.00 total credit limit which has included 2 300.00 auto limit increases. i recently over last 6 months maybe a little longer have carried a large balance.. i recently like last week paid it to 50% and this week will pay off entire balance owed.. im just curious if maybe my mortgage with them (5/2009) has something to do with NOT being slashed and also still recieving credit limit increase. my co-worker switched and has not been increased at all..

Kris dont count on chase playing nice because of your mortgage. my dh and i have chase for mortgage (since 4/07) and cc. both of us have had our limits lowered. I had $2k they gave me a $300 cli. then 3 months later its down to $1600. i didn't know until i put a big purchase on it. Dh had his cut from $7500 to $6700 at the same time.

auto limit increases from chase? that's unusual. props to you for fitting their profile, whatever it is.

Yes auto increases!!!! im actually shocked myself.. Im paying my remaining balance off tomorrow of 1313.77 which will bring me to a zero balance so we will see what happens then. i couldnt imagine fitting some profile of Chase's with a 9 year old BK but i havent been late in several years and only have one or 2 inquiries on TU and EQ so i have no clue.. will keep ya posted.
