Question regarding WF CLI

So,

WF seems to be the only card even willing to give me CLI, so I'm think about requesting another. Last CLI was back in OCT (on phone request).

My card statement just cut with a zero balance on Wednesday. BUT, the next day (today) an automatic payment of a bill hit the account today, so the balance as of today is $400 with a limit of $2100.

Is it too late to ask for a CLI? That is, is it okay to ask for a CLI with the account showing a new balance? Thanks!

My rule of thumb is to only ask for a CLI when the balance is elss than 20%, ideally 10% is best though. I think it would be fine. What are your scores?
