My first day CC Debt Free

All the checks have been written and transfers made.

For the first time in my adult life, I am 100% credit card debt free. 1 year ahead of schedule. It is a very liberating feeling.

Don't be surprised if you feel a little confused for a while at certain times of the month...at first, you'll feel the urge to write out checks or make online payments, and then there'll be this "lost" feeling, 'cause you won't know what to do with all that money you used to send off...

It's a nice problem to have.

It's a nice problem to have.

Easy solution...SAVE IT (or at least part of it) for an emergency fund each month. That way, if something unexpected comes up, you may not have to "hit the cards" to cover it.

Awesome! You're way ahead of me. I got my first credit card in 1991... I didn't have my first CC debt-free day until 2006. Job well done.

I too recently became CC debt free, although it's a road I've been down before. It is definitely a wonderful feeling.

Even better for me, was to start piling up some cash, so I could feel like I could handle an emergency and still PIF every month. Also, personal finance software helped a lot to keep track of stuff.

congrats. i'm almost there. i have the money to pay my debt off, but i want to keep it in an emergency fund.
