Guys,

Just received a pre-approved offer from they. 0% on purchases and 5.99% on balance transfers until paid. My question, do you think this is a real pre-approved offer. All other bank offer say you a pre-approved to apply or you are pre-qualified to apply.? This one reads Thanks to your credit history, you're pre-aoorived for the First National Bank of Omaha Platinum Edition Vkisa Card.

felix, this private invitation has only been extended to select individuals.

So what do you guys think? I have not apply for credit for about 30 mos. 713 and 707, no baddies, but I do carry a high balance.

I just saw that FNBO soft my EXP report which actually show my limit on my BOA Signature Visa. My plus score over there is 750. I have until July 22 to decide. I am hoping that this mean they will pull this report compare to the others. I should be able to get in two payment before the dead line. I am very very tempted.

First National Bank of Omaha is my bank (I live in Omaha). They are the largest locally owned bank in Nebraska and one of the largest privately held banks in the nation. They have extended their marketing in the past 5-8 years. They are owned, and have been owned since inception in the late 1800s by a local family. Very civic minded, excellent service, good products, etc. They been voted one of the Best Places to Work in Omaha for the past several years. I've banked with them for at least 20 years, and have always received prompt responses to any questions, concerns, etc. Their underwriting used to be one of the most stringent in the Midwest. Their website is user friendly, for the most part.

I have an FNBO Platinum Visa Card (and I'm from Omaha too) and its a good card.

I cold app'd for this card, they pulled EX. They are constantly sending me BT checks for 4.99% fixed until its paid, with 3% fee. Not a bad deal if you want to BT, but I PIF so it doesn't really matter to me.

They are also pretty good with CLI's so far. I got the card 9/2010 with a $1500 CL, and in 2/2011 I got a CLI to $4000 CL, with a soft pull.

But they are a great bank to deal with IMO! I have 2 CD accounts with them also. They have great customer service too, and its usually their call center in Omaha.

I just received a "pre-approved" offer for the FNBO Discover Card with 0% on purchases til Feb 2012 and BT until June 2012. Offer also had the "opt-out" verbage on the bottom. Not the best offer out there IMO but was curious if anyone has applied with them recently and what the CL they gave. My Discover More card has not moved from it's 2k limit in over 2 years and I rarely use it since it's one of my lowest limit cards and HP for increases.

I don't think they do instant approvals, I think their underwriters manually approve every application.

I got the same message and about a week later, I was approved. There is a link on their website to check the status of your application. www.firstnational.com

Thanks Andre!! I just checked and I was APPROVED!!! I'll receive the card in 7-10 days!!

One of the worst financial institutions I've ever had the displeasure to work with. Their customer service is the worst. I was referred to the president's office and the president's representative sent me the most generic letter and then decided to simply not reply anymore like I am some dog barking outside their window! They would not admit their mistake and I filed a complaint to BBB, FTC, and OCC and of course, will never deal with them again

I just got approved with them on the 5th.

If anything the CSR was too friendly, if that is possible. She seemed like an older lady in her late 50s.

She talked about every single hobby she had; the whole episode was rather amusing in a cute sort of way.

The amount they approved me for was just $2,900, but considering that I was expecting a decline, I was pleasantly surprised.

No instant approval either, but I only had to wait a day or two.

The CSR said that they were a rather conservative lender, but they approved me with a good FICO score but a short-ish history, so they are likely not that strict.

Two days later I was declined by Dell.

DELL of all people, and supposedly they approve everyone.

Sorry about your experience ferrari.
