Ok I had a soft in on my CR frome a company called andera or something. Was told by CCCU they only use ChexSystems to open checking accounts and had not applied for any credit. Wouldn't you know that when I pulled up the originator of the soft CCCU was one of their customers...lol!!!! the only customer of theirs I do business with. So itlooks like CCCU does soft you for a checkign account, better than the multiple hards from BOFA for one checking account.

I was curious cause it neither showed as promotional or account review. So I wanted to make sure there were nocollectors jumping out of the woodwork ad we have seen happen here often.

huh? it was a soft, amex does it everymonth. doesn't hurt your score. they siad no hard on savings only chex verification, that's all they did on me.

Yep- I had the same softie when I opened my savings. I thought the Hard on EX was enough.

I opened a CC and had to open a savings account for membership.
