CITI PLATINUM SELECT QUESTIONS

What credit bureau does citi pull in Illinois for their platinum select card and are they baddie friendly? I have a charge off from 2005 that that will be paid in full by next month and i am expecting a signicant rise in score. So Please if anyone knows or has applied for this card, your insight would be helpful.

I just recently applied for this card. I was declined online, but when I called for a recon I was approved. The reason why I was originally declined was because I had 0 balance on my revolving accounts. The lady that I talked to thought that was a silly reason since it showed my other accounts such as car loans all in good standing so she approved me. I believe they pulled Experian for me(I'm in PA). The only thing I had on my Experian report that would be considered a baddie is a paid tax lien in the public records portion that's over 2 years old. My score was 730.

They've pulled EX on both of my Citi cards. I have no baddies though and a EX fico around 780. I'd call them if you need more info. I've been lucky with very friendly CSRs.

What if i have my experian report locked would that be a problem? Or could they pull one of the other 2 credit bureaus.

You can always try it and see what happens. If the app pends, you can call them to see what happened and if they need you to unlock EX.

They may pull both of the other credit bureaus.
