Well I got a Macy's card back in Oct 09 with a $500 cl, used it for a little bit then stopped once they no longer reported CL's to the CRA's. Decided to call today just to make sure my account was still open since I haven't used it in months. Well going through the whole automated phone process, "Your available credit is $2000" Just thought I would share, I really hate they no longer report CL's. Maybe I'll stop by there and buy and pickup a new shirt today

Hi, Gibran!!

After reading your post, I was curious, so I called and checked my account. I received my Macy's card last year as well, in October, I think, with a CL of $300. A few months later, I received a GLI of $100, total CL was $400. I have been using my card, but keeping a low balance, if I had a balance at all. When I called this morning, I received the surprise that my CL is now $1500!!!! Wow!! That is nice, and without a hard hit to boot!!! It just REALLY sucks that this CL won't report to the CBs. Oh well...the coupons are great!!

I know! The credit line increase is almost bittersweet. On one hand it's awesome to get it, and on the other hand it sucks that it's not being reported to lower our utilization and give our FICO scores a boost. I keep hoping that someday Macy's will change their minds and start reporting again.

Just checked mine -- CLI of $1000!!! woohoo. Yes, it really is too bad they no longer report. But it still feels nice.....

I also got a CLI of 2000. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Now 2500.00

well, i called them in about 3 weeks ago in order to request a visa logo on my credit card, and guess what? same thing, i actually could not believe i thought it was a mistake since they have given me a $400 CLi like 1 month ago, so i can not complain.....

started with 100 then 400 now $2000 , isn't it greattttt?!!!!!

OMG!! OMG!! OMG!! Just checked....CL raised $400 to $1200! Started at $800....wow...got the card in 9/09.

Well mine was reduced by $40.00. Guess that is to balance out the good news I got from Chase with the lower APR

After Macys did what they did with the reporting, and since the CLs no longer matter, I'm letting mine die a slow death.

Same here. Not that I really depended on it, it still remains at $3200.

I lost interest in the macy store cc after they syopped reporting cl. I am contemplaying getting a replacement store cc that reports.
