Chase PC Success!

So my Chase card (which was formerly WaMu) has been SD'd since January when that jack the rate up from 13.xx to 24.24%

So today I pulled it out, called CS about lowering the rate, and instead was offered to PC to Chase Freedom with Freedom rewards. 1% Cash back on everything, 5% on the current categories. (Basically like Discover More)

I have asked many times previously to be switch to Slate or Freedom, and was denied!

Same terms, same rate, same CL. But with this little extra benefit, I will put it back in my wallet and use it according to what the 5% rewards are that month.

Congrats to you.

I tried to PC my Speedway MC since I moved out of state and Speedway is a midwest thing. They said it wasn't possible since it was a "partners card" I guess Chase makes agreements with the companies of some sort. blah

It sounds like former Chase Starbucks Duetto VISA. They changed it to Freedom VISA at the end of the contract. So your Speedway MC may change it to one of Chase product someday. Wait to see ....
