BofA Secured - Length of time for decision?

I recently applied for the BofA secured card in my branch. A week later, they finally pulled my credit report, but when I called the processing center to see if there was a decision made on my application yet they told me the review can take up to 3 weeks. Anyone else experienced a slow decision with them? It seems that some on this forum got an immediate decision.

I don't remember how long it took to get mine but I'm certain it was longer than a month. They are slow. I've had mine for 1 yr 10 mos. and I finally got them to unsecure it and raised credit limit to 1k from the $600 security deposit I had on it. I initially had requested a review at 14 months but was declined for having it unsecured. Decision was based on some collection accounts from 2007 I'm working to clean up. This time around I got a very friendly rep. how took her time and asked me about the collection accounts and I explained I was working on them and have had an excellent payment history on my secured card and I have definitely learned from my mistakes. I did not ask about a product change to maybe a rewards credit card. I may call and ask later on. I hope the refund of my security deposit does not take too long. Btw, I see no love button available in my account yet but my new credit limit is reflected in the account.

did they do a hard pull to unsecure your card? I've had that card for almost 2 years and was told they need to do a hard pull to consider unsecuring...

So about a week after they pulled my cra, I finally spoke to a credit analyst who said I was at the final stage of approval; the only thing left to do was for them to debit the money from my account, which happened this morning (yay!). So now I just have to wait for the card.

Never thought I'd be on pins and needles over a secured card.
