Merrick Bank/Hooters

I got turned down for a Merrick Bank credit card after I received an offer in the mail. I guess it wouldn't be a good idea to apply for a Hooter's card since Merrick turned me down?

I applied 3 times for the hooters card....Once the last 3 months.....First 2 times declined....3rd time approved!

They probably figured, "oh great, this guy is going to keep making us waste ink...let's just throw this guy a card so he'll shut up"

Depends on which card. I got approved for Hooters with a $5000 CL but rejected by GEICO. Each company has it's own criteria.

Went up at first. I added like $12000 ion new credit though. Also applied at Kay Jewelers. I almost doubled my credit limits with those 2 cards.

It went down last month because I charged close to the limit on the Hooters card and it reported before I paid it.

I applied last week thurs for a hooters card.I'm not sure if i will get approved because i still have two cc that 'm paying off right now, but i do see they pulled my EXP 591 as of yesterday but my score has not drop as yet.

What message did you receive when you applied? Have you called Hooter's to check status?

I received the 7-10 day message but found out I was approved after calling them.

It is the same for me too. I got approved for Hooters and declined for Geico.

absolutely the first i've heard of hooters pulling ex, they usually hit tu.

They approved me for $500 with high util. on my other CC's with a score of 637 on TU. I would recommend trying them. They gave me the 7-10 day waiting period, but after 4 days of calling everyday to check the status, they finally approved me. So it's definitely worth the wait. Good luck!

Yep dnm you are right, they always pull TU.

yep,they pulled my EXP. the reason i went for it because my EXP score is higher than TU andEX. Credit One also pulled from them. Maybe because i from NYC. i got the info whogavemecredit so that why applied.

not doubting you, maybe they pulled ex cause tu is frozen?
