ATM chase app approved for only $800

Few days ago while at the ATM I saw a pre-approved app for chase credit card. I clicked submit and waited few days then called the backdoor number to check on the status. The rep was nice and informed me that it's been approved for $800 cl I asked to recon and was transferred to another rep who wasn't as helpful as the first one and said my credit history is short and that they need to see more activity on the is account before cli is considered. Should I step back and play the waiting game, till accounts age or should I try to call again to recon?

Chase freedom. Was pre-approved for a while and every time the banker at my local chase tried to have me submit an app I refused until I saw it on ATM which I found very creative, did anyone else experience this automatic push a button app process? My only issue is the low cl

Chase can hand out really low limits. When I applied for the Chase amazon, they gave me $300. 3 months later, they increased it to $900, and there it got stuck till now. It's still my lowest limit by far.

Just remember that if you want to request a CLI from Chase in the future, it's a hard inq.

I think that once in a blue moon they give an auto CLI, but I can say that in the 2 1/2+ years that I've had my Chase card, it has never budged from its intial CL.

I applied to both discover and chase freedom on the same day. Discover gave me $2000 limit while chase gave me a $1000 >.>. My highest is a 4k limit. Sucks to hear they are not very generous but oh well.

Chase seems to be in a Special Place now where they're approving new accounts, but they're very, very stingy with CL's.

I think your right, they seem to use other critereas in approving , my heavy personal checking account use had a lot to do with it than my score which is in the high 600s plus a recent collection you'd assume it's an automatic disqualification, go figure

when i first got my chase freedom card 2 years ago, the CL was $4500. within 2 months my CL was automatically increased to its current $6000 (without any fanfare - i just happened to notice the CLI on my statement).

I was approved for $6k in September for Chase Slate.....

To be fair, all of my CLIs with Chase have been automatic. From starting at $300 at age 18 to $12,000 as of current. I have never once called or asked them for a CLI, and they've never pulled a hard except for the initial one in 2007.

They love you! My Freedom card started out as a Borders Visa (program was dropped a year or so ago), and sometimes it feels like there's some sort of asterisk on the account. It's squeaky clean, and I've used it a bunch, but no joy.

I'm wearing it out this quarter due to the current 5% categories, so maybe some sort of magic will happen.
