CITI CARD CLI TIMETABLE

Does anyone know the time limit you can get a cli from Citi. I just recieved one last month and now I see the link again to call for a cli in which I could really use the utilization for the holidays. Has anyone obtained a cli from Citi back to back, as I thought it was every three months. Thanks for any information.

I just received one today on my Plat Select card after getting one last month too which i thought was weird because all of a sudden the cli request is now a fixture on the drop down list.

Back in June, I called in to request a CLI, approved for $1000 CLI on my Forward Card. One month later, in July, I was given an automatic CLI of $1000. Last month, I was given another auto CLI of $1500. 3 CLI's in 5 months, totaling $3500.

Thanks Fico Friends for all your information, I just called today and WOW another cli like the other poster requested $1,200.00 and it was immediately approved, so now total cl is at $8,000.0 which is good for holiday utilization spending, just last month recieved cli of $1,200.00. All I can see is Citi is the way to go with generous cli's once you get your foot in the door and pay your bills on time!!!

Can I ask for all of you getting the cli with Citi what your util is with their card? My husband who has the Plat MC with them got his cl reduced two years ago down to $1100 (we had a rough few months from 07-08) but have been good since then. I guess I just wanted to know what everyones util looked like w their Citi cards? Do you also know when they give youba cli do they soft pull and possibly check what your util and payment history on other cards is?

To answer some of the questions you ask, the highest I have charged on my citi card a little of $800.00, and I hate to say have left a balance that high but paid it off the next month, I also have auto-pay with them, but citi likes usage and balances paid i feel, also do you have a online account with citi for your cc and is there ever a link to request a cli as if you see that link to call customer service it is then only a soft pull, also maybe you can call citi on some type of reconsideration for some of his cl being restored. I have the citi platinium and it is in the tool sections drop down list, this is were you will see request a cli.

My Citi Plat MC just passed the six month mark so I figured it was time to ask for a CLI. I spoke to a CSR last night (who was very nice I might add) but she couldn't guarantee it would be a soft pull for the request. I asked her if I could do it online and she said sure. I tried it this morning and the response I received was "we cannot process your request online at this time. Please call XXX-XXX-XXXX to have your request processed". Nothing more than that. Is this normal?

I called two days ago, and said I want a CLI but no hard pull. They said they would do a soft pull, and stop beforehand if their computer required a hard pull. They asked what I wanted, I said $3,000, they offered me $2,200 (which is a $1k CLI), which I took, no hard pull required. I'd say call again, hopefully you'll get a more competent representative.

If you see no hard form on the cli link on your account I would definitely call again, tell the rep there is a message on your online account to request a cli, it should be a soft pull, the rep will only ask for your yearly income and how much you are looking for. If there is any hard form on your account do not even bother to ask for a cli because it will be a hard pull, good luck

Anything over 20K is a hard pull, at least that's what I was told. I am already passed that mark and was told that since my CL was high it would require a pull. Could only be one person's opinion

Well I called today after I got home from work and spoke to "another" nice rep who was a bit more helpful than the last one I spoke to. I explained that I was told to call in when I clicked on the CLI button and he said if I requested more than what I was pre-approved for it most likely would be a hard pull. After answering the income question and how much I wanted, the rep came back and said that I was "pre-approved for a $1200 increase" and if I'd like to accept. I said sure. He said no CB pull was done. Very easy and painless. I have to say I really like Citibank...they have been great to work with so far.

I've waited damn near 18 months for a CLI on my Diamond Preferred AMEX and nothing. No CLI but I get to fill out that stupid form. Thanks, but no. I use the card regularly too charging a little here and there. I called them angry that they waste paper on me with bi-weekly balance transfer offers and checks and I politely but firmly told them to give me a line I can work with and I'd gladly transfer something but no love. My limit has been stuck at $1800 when I app'ed back in 05/09. I was blessed with a crappy limit on the Platinum Select MC and a horrid rate of 21.99%. By far, the WORST terms of any card in my arsenal. Called in January of this year to PC to the American Express and they gave that to me no problem and lowered my rate to 14.24% but still, no credit line increase. On the other hand, my Home Depot card grew from 4K to $11,890 in about 2 years. I'm sour on CITI at the present time.
