I got denied for my CLI...from $1000 to $2000. I figured since I've had them for six months, I had a good chance and my payment history has been great, PIF most months. Oh well...

i've had my amex delta for less than 3 months and i've tapped the luv button 3 times. once denied due to lack of having account over 30 days, once for everything except kidnapping the lindbergh baby, third time (after having 3 paid collections deleted from ex) instant 2k - 4k.

I went for broke with them this month. CLI me or forget about it - Ran $4300 though it in 25 days on a $1K limit. Statement will post the 22nd or 23rd with a $10 balance. Could have been another $700 but my payment had not posted yet. Don't you work for Amex?

Can't figure this out.

Posted Balance is listed as $804.08
made a $5.97 purchase last night
So let's call that $810

Payment of $800 has not posted yet-

CL available displays $1,664

So they either increased my CL or did something screwy-
Statement date will be Nov 23rd-

If my CL is still $1K Available would be $190 or $990 if they applied my payment.

Can't Figure this out unless they raised me to $2474 or
$3274

Any ideas beyond calling Amex?

Maybe when you checked it, it was literally in the process of updating, and the payment reflected in one place but not the other?

This also happened to me. I thought I got auto-luv after 2 months. Turns out, they just added my payment to my credit limit and gave me that as available credit. After 1 day, it reported 0 balance 1K available credit....I was sad. They got my hopes up.

Yep- The payment got applied to the CL prior to it posting-

6 months later-

After CLI and re-allocation

Delta $8K

Blue Cash $5K

Simple Cash SB- $12K

Also a Green

Started with a $1K Delta June 23rd 07

NO CLI until January

Ive hit the luv button a few times with this card and have had no luck. My experian score dropped after I got the card and has stayed absolutely stagnant while all my other ones are always moving around, hell it used to be the most active and now it never changes why my equifax has been moving up fast. All my balances are decreasing on my loans yet my score never moves, what gives. And amex wont give me any love.

Edit: Just pulled my CR from here and my dam EX fico is 678 now, thats 20 points higher than when they gave me the dam card, what gives. Amex is startin to piss me off. My fiance got a dam 4k limit with a 675 and I cant even get a limit raise with 6 months of perfect payment history.
