Combine 2 chase cards

My wife just got chase freedom visa 4K CL, and she got same offer same day, got instantly approved (probably same CL)

so now we interesting in combining CLs

is it possible, any advise?

2 days ago she got 3 envelopes:

-first with freedom card(4k CL)(approved 2 weeks ago),

-second - offer for slate,

-third - offer for freedom(same offer that she got 2 weeks ago),

so she decided to apply once again and was instantly approved, will got her second freedom card in few days

It sounds that I received the same group of pre-approvals that your wife did. I have a older freedom card so I went for the slate. You may be able to combine the cards after you have them by calling the credit department. Also just out of curiosity what APR did she get offered.

0% intro till 02/2012, then 17.99%

interesting thing that she just came to US 15 month ago, and her credit report indicate that she is AU on my cards(capone 2k CL and freedom 3k CL)

in january she got capone 300 CL (500 now by credit step)

and now she got two freedom with 4k CL)

Is it possible that they will cancel second card without asking us?

MB we suppose to use booth cards at least few times and then call CSR for combine?

How we can got 100$ bonus offered for each card?

CSR told that she can't combine them.

Chase stopped combining cards several years ago I believe. I don't even know if you could move CL's around anymore.

I've tried two or three times to combine my 2 Chase

cards. The will not do it. Told me to apply for new

card. They are difficult.

PS: They are ex-WAMU cards.

About 4 or 5 months ago I was able to shift limits between cards, but things may have changed. Haven't tried recently, but was thinking about requesting a CLI -- just have to think about whether I want another INQ or not.

Did they limit how much you could move. I moved a few hundred bucks from a old wamu last year. They told me I had to leave a minimum 500cl on the card. Tye cl on the Card now is 700 with a 29.9% . I don't use the card at all.

I just spoke with one if the csr using one of the backdoor numbers. They informed me that you could combine chase cards BUT you have to have a zero balance on the card which will have to be closed. Then they will do a soft and then transfer the closed cl over. Not sure how much I trust them to do that but I will try with my 700cl first to see what happens.

Update. I just combined 2 of my chase cards into one. Now the card is at 9000! Getting close to 10000. I have one more to move over after the payment clears so that will be another 700 to the cl.
