What do you think about this..........

Got a meesage on 12/8 that I had a balance increase on a AMX Optima card (annual fee charge for $35.00) that has not been used in over a year. Then on 12/13 my EQ Fico score goes from 690 to 699 so I pull a report and on things helping you score it says "recent use on credit cards".

Seems odd to me that a charge of $35.00 for an annual fee on a card that has been dormant for over 1 year would result in a 9 point increase.

I will be more than happy to "pay" $35.00 every year for a 9 point increase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is your current Fico scores, IMO good fico pays you and not the other way round.

I believe the increase in you EQ was because of the fee hitting your dormant account. Recently I had a charge post to a dormant Macy's card and that jumped me up a few points. Seems EQ gives you credit for using dormant cards.

Will I have about 4 other cards that are dormant, maybe I should go for 36 more points...LOL

LOL, I don't know how that'd work out but I wouldn't gamble on it
