Finally in with amex, Im so happy i took advice from a few members and waited to get my UTI down before i applied otherwise i probably would of been denied so Thank you all for the advice! Some stats on my report are AAoA 1.3 years UTI 9% Scores are on Sig, i had about 7 inquiries on EX and 3 on both TU and EQ.

it was an instant approval too. I was also wondering since i applied today and got approved right away would i have had a chance with the other charges also?

you were right i applied for the gold just now and got Instant approval haha

wow at first i didnt even think about getting 1 amex card and now i have too haha

would i be pushing my luck if i tried for the platinum? ;D haha

lmao...if u get platinum will u close the zync and gold?........if so go ahead and do it.

do the platinum application over the phone and request to have it rushed and you'll ave your plat card on friday from UPS

well i can because plat offers alot of exlusive events to plat only members and i partake in those events and enjoy them...besides that its nice to have the concierge email you a menu to your iphone while your out and away from a computer to look over and see if you want to go to that restaraunt. especially since the iphone does not have flash and alot of websites do..lol

my motto is its better to have and not need than to need and not have...ie access to those airport lounges if ever the day comes that my scary behind gets on a plane

I would like the platinum.... later on in life, as of right now i wouldnt want to pay 450 for a card especially since i dont travel as much.

i would apply on the phone except im 20 so they would just tell me to do it online, it's still a nice feeling getting approved :] i guess all charge cards have the same requirements and qualifications haha

well if you travel. Amex has a promo on delta gold now w/ 45,000 skymiles that ends Dec 20th. I would go for it but I don't want to compromise my chances for the amex cards I want to get next month.

actually i wanted to apply for the Hilton honors card by them but i figured a charge card would be an easier way to get in and then apply later on :]

well i have no experience with an amex credit card..but imo a charge card should be easier to attain simply because theres no pre-set limit so your max charge can actually be capped at 500 and it must be paid in full at the end of the month. oppose to a revolving line of say 2k+ which holds a greater risk to a card company

OP, congrats on the approval!

But even bigger congrats on getting your util down, which is way more important in the long run.

I'll let all you young pups donate $450 to American Express, and maybe I'll just buy stock in them instead.
