CHASE FREEDOM WHAT A MIRACLE

Called the chase application number to speak with a live person to find out the status of my app as I checked the automatic number this morning and it was still saying that same old line app is under review, the rep told me I was denied and a letter was already sent out due to some derogs on my report, and I had asked him if there could be any reconsideration and explained why those derogs occured in the first place, he then placed me on hold and came back stating my app would be placed for reconsideration and I should here an anwer within 7-10 days then the conversation ended he gave no other information. I then called another chase number the credit analyst/recon one and spoke to another rep explaining I just found out my app was denied and would like for it to be reconsidered, she asked for some information such as my s.s# and so forth then she told me to my surprise my application was already APPROVED and she told me my cl was $5,000.00, I was in shock and repeatedly ask her are you sure, but she said my card should arrive in 7-10 business days. I then called the application automatic service number again for chase and now it is stating application approved and I will recieve my card, so now it is believable. All I can say THANK GOD for this forum and the plentiful information that is shared here. Anyone out there always pursue to the very end as you never know what can happen. Thanks again everyone.

hey ive been wanting to apply but i have a charge off from 08. Can you tell me about your negative info and how old is it. And how many inquiries you have. Thanks

Congrats! The Freedom is on my list, too. It's definitely one of the better rewards cards. I was denied, and I won't probably reapply until next fall.

Chase pulled EX in which I had 3 inquiries at the time, one baddie which is reporting sold to another lender, but this account was paid in full just not reporting that way, but I opened up another account with this same bank for about a year now and reporting well, the other is a paid utility account charge off. But I think maybe your charge off is too new. My two is from a number of years ago. But you never know what can happen for you until you want to take that chance and apply and if no luck call to ask for reconsideration. Good Luck in what you decide to do. Also I am sure the bank looks at what accounts you currently have, limits, age and so forth
