What number did you use to request CLI? Do they always do a hard pull?

I have been asking for a CLI from Macys for months and everytime, DECLINED! Today I noticed another soft pull on EQ and decided to give them a call, after all, they have to approve me now. After making the request (soft pull), the agent said declined and so I starting my case; payments ontime, PIF, no derogs on my credit report, 4 of 11 accounts reporting a balance, and the fact that if I qualify for an AmEX, then I should at least get a cli from Macy's. I told her i've been trying to get back into good graces with Macy's ever since I mistakenly missed a payment back in 3/2010 and have never been late again. She reviewed my account and agreed that I have been doing great with paying more than the minimum balance and so she decided to speak with a supervisor. She came back and said they would have to do a hard pull and so I reluctantly agreed but i'm glad I did. They increased my limit back to $1500 which is where it was before they CLD, i'm not excited but I am satisfied because now i'm back in with Macy's and she said to continue what i'm doing and I will qualify for an increase every 3 months.

Manual reviews are soo important because the computer can't see what the human eye can see...the computer only see formulas.
