I am a college student, and currently have 2 cc with a $300 and $800 limit. My credit history is only 2 months but my ulti is extremely low. Anyways, I applied for an Amex Zync because they said they couldn't approve me because they couldn't generate a score for me. Should I call for recon or just reapply in like 6 months? Is there any chance of getting that inq removed (they pull all three)?

Thanks.

You must have a credit history of at least 6 month to have a credit score. Wait 6 months and reapply.

Doesn't cc companies give special treatment to college students? They should understand that students are just trying to build credit and that a credit profiles w/o a score are normal for students.

Well, someone has already given you cards, right?

Some cards are easier to get than others. The tougher ones often have better rewards and so forth.

Two cards are all you need for now for scoring purposes, seriously. Let them report for what, four more months? and then you'll be on the credit grid.

If you still want a Zync then, fine, go ahead and get it. But I would strongly advise then taking a break for a while. The longer you wait, the stronger your history and scores will be, and the better the deals will be that you can get on future cards.
