Amex card - 1 month anniversary

I received my Amex Delta Skymiles approval on 10/18 and received the card within 10 days. Upon receipt and activation I requested a "product change" to Blue and was approved. I am still awaiting the card although I received a confirmation letter last week. This past Sunday, 11/18, I called the customer service number an asked for a CLI and was approved - bringing my CL from $1100 to $3000 (the most I have ever had!).

To date I have only charged $99.31 on the card - small items such as gas.

My statement closing date is 11/30 and my first payment is due 12/18. I will pay PIF and i(f I am correct) when they report, It should show a utilization of 4%

So far it's been good. An ya know - since having the card I haven't really had an urge to go out and charge. I guest since it's been such a long road back - I'm going to go easy with this one.

Yes, call the # on the back of the card.

Don't fret. It seems as if Amex is lowering its standards. You may get one pretty soon.

You guys are lucky. I am still waiting for my Delta. on 11/20 it said approved and card should arrive in 10 days. Counting the days till I get the nenw Delta Card just in time for XMas shopping. What does Amex consider before they change to Blue? I have seen may posted that they got their cards changed to Blue. What is the Amex criteria to change the card? Do they do a credit pull again?

You can convert your delta at Activation - mention "Product change"

or you can activate it online, log into Account Management, send a secure email requesting product change to the Blue

There is no Credit pull -soft or hard.

NO MORE APPS for me till 08' or if I can 09'

I'm slowly counting the days till I hit the one month mark. That'll be amazing. I'm getting rid of the debt on my other cc's and will use my amex to the fullest! har har har.

Amex def. shows the love if you are good w/ them, use them a lot and NEVER make minimum payments (you can do it once or twice but they do not like to see min. pymts for a long time),- anway, use it and make large payments every mos- and you will def. see the luv.

However, some people have not been able to lower their int. rate as easily as they have been able to w/ Discover.
