AMEX Credit Limit Reallocation is Back!!!

You are allowed to move credit limits between primary cards again, you must leave at least $500 on the leave card but if you have a card you use all the time and need to move some credit its that time again.

Just started today so everyone might not be up to speed but its the truth!

I called a week ago to do that but I was denied "we don't do that any more", then I saw this post, went to their website and searched all the links, didn't find anything.... so I called : )

I asked the representative to do the rallocation... she said OK, and she did it

I checked the account online but didn't see any change, maybe tomorrow

I asked them about a month ago they said no for me to relocate the limits.

You will need to call in to do a reallocation it might take 24-48 hrs to process.

Heh, this might have been awesome for me 2 months ago, but now I have my main Amex at 10k. Probably don't need a card with more than that.

This is not a CLI , it is a credit limit reallocation between "already opened" 2 amex cards

Update: Just received a letter in the mail from Amex, denied the reallocation!! reason: accounts not aged enough to do the reallocation.

called them they said that both accounts should be open for at least 14 months

Any success stories?

Any update on this? I am in need of a higher limit on my brand new HHonors. I don't want to wait the 60 days, as I need the limit later this month. I'd be willing to reallocate some or all of my Blue Cash limit that's been open since 2008. Has anyone reallocated CL from an older account to a brand new account?
