I was approved recently - when I was looking at alternatives this seemed to offer the most perks for the price. Amex has been a little disappointing since it is ending its partnership with UA/CO. This card is a great deal for the lounge access alone (which normally costs $475ish) and provides full access to CO, UA, USair and under certain conditions star alliance members when traveling internationally. It also gives you auto enrollment as a hyatt platinum member and something with Avis, but haven't used these yet. There are also good insurance coverages, such as emergency medical evacuation when overseas. If you aren't elite with CO you will also get priority boarding/baggage/etc. Foreign transaction fees were also recently waived.

Not sure about my score when approved, but last I checked about 5-6 months ago I was in the high 700s or low 800s depending on the agency.

I personally like the One Pass Plus World. I think it's quite incredible, I feel more so than the Presidential Plus.

I never had any personal experiences with this card but my dad had this before his BK. He had the card about 10 years before they did a couple PC and turned into what it is now. He always had a vast amount of points and such. His credit limit before the card got canceled was over 75k. So it grows.

So what's the difference between the One Pass and the Presidential Plus-why is the One Pass so much better?

I would recommend the presidential for someone who travels at least a moderate amount, and the onepass for someone who maybe travels a few times a year. Reason being the most significant difference is that the presidential provides full presidents club and affiliate lounge membership, but you also pay an annual fee that is aprox. $300 more. It also gives you flex eqm (elite qualifying miles) for every $5,000 in spend, which is useful if you are on the cusp of different elite frequent flyer levels. The other differences which I mentioned before are platinum status at hyatt and avis, eliteaccess at the airport, upgraded insurance coverage, unlimited upgrades on reward tickets and 25% mileage bonus on tickets. It also gives you 2 free bag checks vs 1 with the regular onepass. I think the waived foreign transaction fees and separate concierge service are only for the presidential as well. As far as MC world vs. world elite, I don't really see much of a difference - seems like more of a marketing scheme.

Again bottom line, the presidential provides a lot more travel luxuries, but you are paying a higher AF. If you don't travel you probably won't benefit.
