18k approved. I hardly ever put a dime on my card, so I'm pretty sure i'll get a FR if I spend anymore than $1000.

I just have too many credit cards. I spread cards activity evenly among all my cards( I know I'm not maximizing rewards but that's ok). So For me to spend a large amount on my Zync would be an irregular activity and that would alert AMEX. Well that's what I think, but who knows right?

If there is a spending limit on Amex Charge why the heck don't they report it to the CRA???

Because it isn't a fixed amount. Or at least, it's way more mobile than the CL on a revolving account. So it's not considered part of your overall available credit.

The last time I checked mine was 10k. But that was about two months ago. I don't check my spending availability very often. If I'm not spending more than my usual amount monthly I just dont see the need.

strangely for me, sometimes, it approves 10k sometimes, it declines 5k

Don't know what the limit is. December was heavier than normal usage with business travel (and Christmas). I hit 10K, so it is at least that.

I almost never use my Zync. I checked it 4 months ago and the highest I was willing to go was $3500. I just check $5000 and $7500 and both were approved.

My Zync was around $32k before I dumped gasoline on it and set it ablaze...now I'm back to under $10k on my revolver :-(

I just tried $25k on my Zync (via "Check your spending ability" online) and was approved. I've had it since Nov 1 and put around $3-$4k a month on it.

I have a friend who just put $75k in emergency medical bills on her Platinum in one swipe. Her husband had blood clots and had to be rushed into surgery while on a business trip in Mexico. It's all getting reimbursed, but since it was a foreign hospital they had to pay upfront first. $75k! In Mexico! That's one way to check your spending ability.

I got my zync in september and its at $4200 from what i started at was $1500 when i opened the account. I only spend around $500-$800 a month
