How to use Backdoor Numbers?

May seem like a silly question, but what do you say when you call? It seems like every time I try I still get someone who sounds like a CSR or an overseas call center. And when I try to explain my credit situation they seem to give the same scripted answers, and they don't really sound like they are thinking about it. It's a quick response.

Am I doing something wrong?

If you are calling Citi, Household, Capital One... it's my experience you are talking to a CSR because they can not overturn a computer answer.

Now if your calling Barclay or Bank of America or Chase... you should be speaking with a credit analyst and they are pretty good usually... hang up and try again if not.
