BofA Student Visa Platinum Plus Recon failed

I was denied for too much new credit and balances too high. My uti is 18% and im paying it down to 8% next month. They told me I had too much new available credit and they want to see what I'm going to do with it before they could approve me for a card. Waiting on status of Citi AT&T Universal Card so I can save money every month on my AT&T Bill.

What does your CR look like and what all credit did you pile up lately.

i just got approved yesterday for |Amazon Chase Visa $400|, January I got a |Credit First Tires Plus credit card $1200|, December I got |Newegg.com Preferred Account $2,000| |Amazon.com Store card $500| |Paypal Smartconnect $500| September |Citibank Littman Jewelers Credit card $1000| |Amex Zync| August |Chevron/Texaco Card $400| Im at 18% uti, 665 Fako TU, AAoA 9 months, Oldest account 1 year 10 months, no baddies, 10+ inquiries on every bureau, and 14 open tradelines. Their 2nd concern was the balances but I told them I was paying down 2 cards my best buy store card and my littman card to bring it down to 8% uti. Other than that they couldnt approve me cuz of all my new credit I recently obtained so they wanted to see activity and how I handle those cards for at least 6 months before they can approve me

yea, you have too much new credit. 10 inq is too much, you should wait a year for that to fall off then reapply.

yeah I have $9,000 total credit now I was planning on stopping for the next year at least after I hear back from Citi because I got the Amazon Chase that I've been wanting for a while

i wanted to build a history with them so I could get a royal carribean visa later as I go on cruises once a year
