How I got HSBC to update the correct balance is to go to the CRA (EX, EQ & TU) and dispute the account balance online. It has always worked when they have been really behind in reporting.

BJ

BobbyJ, although eventually the account will be reported... many people from the forum are against disputing an active account because if HSBC is slow to report monthly activity, they will be slow to follow-up on a dispute which will get your account deleted temporarily until it's updated a month or 2 later -- that happens on the side of the CRA if no response in 30-45 days. So be careful, you can ding yourself.

I expect to see HSBC report by the end of this week. Last time they reported for me was 1/31 and I think that February's report date has moved into the month of March because Feb is a short month. It looks like this is somewhat true for many of the accounts that typically report at the end of the month. Check your reports on Monday.

The important thing to remember is that HSBC reports your balance from the last day of the month, not the balance on your last statement. US Bank is the same way. These are the only two I can think of that do this.

If your balance is zero when the statement cuts on the 15th, and you charge $100 between the 15th and the last day of the month. $100 will be reported to the CRAs.

Hi guys - Do you mind me asking what Credit Monitoring Service you are using? I am currently testing out identity guard and creditkeeper, but I haven't been IM'd about Orchard so I think that they are behind whatever service you are using. I also have Scorewatch and haven't been "pinged" about Orchard yet. Would love to use whatever obviously superior CMS you are using.
