Ok I just got a Chase Ink Cash for my business using my EIN and me PG w/ a 10k limit. So I called back a few days later to see about getting a personal Freedom Card. They turned me down and I called the back door number for recon and they still turned me down. The reason was that I had just opened the Ink Cash account for my business. The agent said they need to see how I handled the Chase Ink card and make payments. I said I will handle it like I do all my Amex cards for the past several years and pay the bill. By the way I have a 750 fico and no baddies for like 10 years

Should I just wait 6 months and try again?

Here are the cards I have

Personal

Starwood 2008

Delta Gold 2008

Amex Gold 2008

Discover since 1998

Citi since 2007

Business (not that this matters since they did not pull business CC for personal card)

Amex Platinum

Amex Plum

Chase Ink

Has nothing to do with your credit.... Chase does not allow more than 1 card every 6 months. I believe the only way around this is the Amazon Chase I believe I have heard someone got that before the 6 months.

I just surpised me that they counted a new Business account against me for a personal card. The fact that I perfect credit and could not get the card shows they will not move on that by allowing more then 1 card every six months.

I wouldn't take it personally. Well, easy to say, but if you can avoid taking it personally, that will help your stomach lining to remain healthy (as in no ulcers.)

Banks have all sorts of weird little rules these days, post-bank crash. Perhaps Chase set up an internal rule that all new customers are limited to one account initially. This might be a way of showing how suddenly fiscally responsible they are, or something.

I got chase freedom in January 2011 and then I held myself for as long as i could then my cousing took the Chase BA in mid feb (she had also got a freedom in december). Then I applied around 23rd feb and got instant approval for 10500 (my highest CL). (I wanted to hold back and just be in the garden club, but took this last hit before i joined the garden club).

I am now gardening for Citi AA in August (if they still have 75k miles offer).
