Chase shows you pending transactions now

Earlier Chase used to show credit card transactions only after they had posed (2-3 days). Now they show them online as pending immediately and even the email and push notification are instant.

This is same for both my chase cards. Is it the same experience for everyone?

i wonder why they didn't do it before? they do it for their debit cards.

Shows pending for my Freedom since beginning of this week. I like it.

They should all do that. Maybe it will help cardholders catch fraudulent charges.

Discover really should implement this, too, as should Citi.

Anyway, it shows up for me now on my Amazon Visa. I should use this card a lot more, it may not be super pretty but damn does it have good rewards.

Yes, I saw this two days ago for both my Chase cards and it is great!

I think they started this when they modified their e-mail account notification e-mails last week. It used to be that you'd get an e-mail alert for a transaction over a specific amount, but now it tells you the exact amount of the authorization in the e-mail.

Before: "For credit card account ending in XXXX: A transaction exceeded ($ USD) 0.01. To view your recent account activity log in to

www.Chase.com and select "Activity" on the My Accounts page."

After: "As you requested, we are notifying you of any charges over the amount of ($USD) 0.01, as specified in your Alert settings. A charge of ($USD) 84.98 at AMAZON has been authorized on 04/02/2011 12:03:21 PM EDT."
