Applied for Amex Platinum

I had a link for Amex that said I was Pre-Approved for it. I have had my Zync for only about 3-4 months. So I pulled trigger and applied. I got the old you will receive your decision in 7-10 days message. I do have fraud protection so maybe need to speak to me more or maybe just declined. Does anyone have any phone numbers or suggest who I can talk to? Thanks.

Did you apply with the 50K bonus points offer? If you missed out on the bonus, I think you might be able to cancel the card and re-apply so you get those points. But it would cost you another inquiry to do so. You can probably find a link for the offer by doing a google search. I know there is one at thepointsguy.com. For the link to work, you'll have to be a first-time platinum cardholder (not sure if your previous app will prevent you from taking advantage of this since you haven't activated the card) and clear your cookies.

I spoke with a person in the corporate offices and they advised they will look into it. Will get back to me within 2 days. No I didn't see anything regarding 50000 points. The application may have been denied I'm not sure I will find out soon.

I'm pretty sure it's the fraud protection that caused the holdup.
