Merrick Visa Card

I got a pre approved 1000 limit Merrick card in the mail today.. .not gonna ap because I have plenty of cads and I dont' want the inq. But these look like shady cards... any input?

yeah, that's pretty much what I decided after reading online. "Predatory Lending" came up way too much for me. They gave me a DECENT limit, nothing crazy, I just don't need the inq to hit me right now. Already got one this year, I wanna keep them very low.

I've had my Merrick visa for 5 months and have been very happy with them. It's a high interest rate, but I carry a low balance so I don't worry about it too much.

Jyllie, if you don't mind my asking, how long did it take for you to receive the card after being approved for it? I got one of the preapprovals like the OP, applied on Sunday and was approved with the following message:

"...subject to verification of the information provided in your application. If we need any additional information, we will notify you within the next two weeks. Once the verification process has been satisfied, you will be issued your new card(s). Please allow an additional two weeks for delivery".

I'm just curious if it ever really takes up to 4 weeks to receive. Also, how are they on CLIs? Have you been able to get a CLI yet?

Just wanted to provide my input. I received a pre approval last year around Sept and was approved for 750. No annual fee, yes high intrest rate but I do not carry a balance. Since I recently was approved for Amex I will randomly use the Merrick and they just recently this month doubled my cl to 1500! I have not had any problems with them, and you can pay and manage your bill online!

Is it the same Merrick that issues the Hooters Card? If so I have had no issues with that card

Same Merrick...different card than Hooters though.

I received my card in about a week...no more than 10 days. Good luck!
