Citi question

I have quick quesiton for those in the know..

I have a Citi Diamond Preferred card. I have had it since 2003.

I want to convert to the Citi American Airlines rewards card.. is this possible or do you usually have to open a new account?

You may be able to pc to Citi AA, but if you can afford the hit, 75k miles bonus may be a attractive deal on a new citi AA card.
