Every Amex revolver has it's own set of rules for PCs. With Amex, it seems that almost everything can be PCed to Blue and that nothing can be PCed to Clear.

There's really only one way to find out, by calling Amex.

Hi everyone,

Because I have nothing better to do, Amex is currently reconsidering my Clear application that I submitted a while ago(apparently, I called just in time). If, hypothetically, I were to be issued this card:

-Could I product change to BC Everyday on Activation.

And also, as much as I like the idea of keeping my established relationship with BofA and being happy, I do realize that that card has grown to what I want it to be. Would Freedom/BC Everyday truly be the kick ass pair of Cash Back cards?

I don't have an answer for you but, I do havea few questions, when did you apply for the Clear? Why were you declined? What dept did you call for a recon?

I'm not asking because I'm nosey, I applied for the Clear 1 week ago (5/2/11 declined) after apping for the Blue Cash Preferred and was approved (4/29/11) then was told I can't be approved (the next day) because I had just applied and was approved for the Blue Cash 3/28/11 and that I would have to wait 90 days before applying for any type of "Blue" CC.

The good thing about all of this Malay was that I was told that AmEx would send a suppression to EX for the inquiry on 4/29/11 (to have it removed) and when they pulled my report for the Clear it was a soft pull, so no real harm done.

I'm just confused how I was approved for the BC Preferred 4/29/11 and was told that I could apply for any other AmEx CC (just not any Blue CC's) but was declined for the Clear?????

I would like a recon, because I think that inquiry from 4/29/11 is what threw them off and caused the decline.

I asked them to change my Blue into clear a month ago and they told me I couldn't. They told me I could change from Blue to any of Blue Card (incl. Blue Sky and Blue Cash). I don't think it will work the other way around. You have to apply for a new card.

Ron.
